De Longevity Risk 2008 will take place at two different locations in the Netherlands.
Thursday 25th September, 2008 the conference will start in Naarden-Vesting in the Grote Kerk (Church). On Friday 26th September we change location to the Mövenpick Hotel in Amsterdam, which is also the Hotel where the delegates from outside the Netherlands will stay.

The St .Vitus or De Grote Kerk (the Great Church) is situated on Marktstraat. The church is a central meeting place where for instance organ music nights (some by the internationally known Dutch Bach Society) and choral music by the St. Matthew Passion, are held throughout the year. The music sounds magical in this church because the acoustics are so good. A meeting place, the Grote Kerk also holds the Naarden Photo festival, and various congresses throughout the year.
There are wonderful medieval paintings on the vault which capture the attention. During the last restoration these beautiful paintings depicting scenes from the Bible were also restored and the results are astonishing. The scenes are related on the Biblia pauperum or literally translated, the Bible of the poor, is not actually a Bible, nor was it meant for the poor. It is a complex presentation in text and illustrations of related scenes from the Old and New Testament.
The church is one of the oldest surviving churches in the Netherlands, dating from the fifteenth century and was the only building in Naarden to survive the Spanish invasion (1572).
